Description
We are in Edessa, a town in Macedonia in northern Greece.

The film opens with a shot from the town’s ring road Edessa-Thessaloniki, we see the settlement between the trees and in the background the power supply cables. Then, we move inside the town and watch views of its houses, most of which are painted in ocher colors.

Passers-by go down the road while a white car is stopped at the spot, with open doors. We stand out the characteristic Macedonian style houses with the “sachnisi”, that is, the protrusion of the floor’s volume that is supported by wooden beams (ie a traditional type of bay window).

A child plays with his tiny bicycle on the street and then the camera turns to the wooden roofs of the houses. An elderly man, who wears a flat cap and holds a cane, passes right by the white car with his donkey carrying wood. The camera follows his path as he turns to look towards the lens for a while.

Lastly, the filmmaker gives us one more shot of the picturesque houses of Edessa.
