Description
We are in Matala, a small seaside village and a famous beach in southern Crete, in the prefecture of Heraklion.

The carved caves on its rocks, by the prehistoric inhabitants during the Neolithic era, became a reference point of the Hippie movement around the world, who inhabited them for short or long periods in the 60s-70s.

We see a panoramic view of the caves, the tourists who explore them, maybe some people stay there, tamarisk trees that reach up to the beach, swimmers, other people who lay down on the sand, but the main view is the caves on the rocks and the crystal clear blue waters of the small bay. We see close-up shots of the natural cavities-caves that were dug by the waves at the base of the small rocky peninsula.

We see a shot that was taken from the bay of the opposite side, some houses of the seaside settlement, a tavern, boats that are moored and a last panoramic view of the beach of the small fishing village.
