Description
We are in Sofia, the capital and largest city of Bulgaria. The film opens with a general view of the city from above. Then, we see the lions’ bridge with the four bronze lions and then shots of the street with traffic as well as views of the city from within a car.

Afterwards, the lens shows us a woman who has visited the St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and poses in front of the imposing building. It is one of the largest cathedrals in the Balkans as well as one of the symbols and main attractions of Sofia. We see a man who admires the Monument to the Tsar Liberator, an equestrian monument in the city’s center.

Vews of the city with passers-by, cars, traffic police officers follow and we get back to the woman and her tour. We see her looking shops’ fronts, visiting the Borisova Gradina garden as well as the Russian Church of St Nicholas the Miracle-Maker. The camera shows us various street signs and then the government buildings, the National Assembly, the Council of Ministers and the Parliament. The woman continues her walk while we see footage of the changing of the guard.

The view changes with a marble plaque that informs us that construction is taking place in a Roman public building where in the Middle Ages was the Church of Saint George and during the Ottoman period was converted into a mosque. We get back to the city streets with the lens focusing on Sveta Nedelya church. The filmmaker once again shows us the woman who visits the shops and then views of the city garden, the oldest and most central public garden in Sofia, as well as the fountain with the Ivan Vazov National Theater standing out in the background.

The film closes with shots of the city park and a shop that sells lottery tickets.
