Description
The town of Norcia is located in central Italy.
The most important part of the town - and this is first shown in the film - is the statue of Saint Benedict, next to the church of the Saint, in the homonymous central square.
In the background we watch old buildings, such as the Clock Tower and during our tour we see residents, tourists, a band, the walls surrounding Norcia, even women who wash clothes in public fountains.
As we enter the town from the Porta Romana, we see shops with local products, such as truffle and prosciutto, for which Norcia is famous.
In 2016, earthquake events for a period of months, damaged severely the city and the buildings we watch on the film. Reconstruction work is now being carried out.
