Description
Eilean Donan is a small island located in the West Highlands of Scotland, where three large lagoons meet, and connect it to the mainland by a bridge.

The island is dominated by one of Scotland's most iconic castles and certainly one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country's highlands.

Surrounded by the magnificence of the Kintail mountain forests, Eilean Donan's scenery is truly enchanting, and this setting is seen in the film in a panoramic footage.

Then we watch a general view of the castle, as well as a band in the traditional Scottish costume, the kilt, playing music of local culture, with its predominant sound, the bagpipe. Tourists watch and enjoy the music.

In the next shot of the movie, a woman dressed in the traditional plaid skirts, shows the tourists a traditional dance, under the sound of bagpipes. Then comes a second dancer.

In the next shot the band leaves while playing.

The film closes with shots of the surrounding landscape, the lagoon and the mountains.

Creator's description

The weather has turned dull –what a pity! But perhaps this is the right kind of weather in which to visit the somewhat sinister castle of Eilean Donan.

Nearby we are lucky enough to come upon a pipe band entertaining a crowd of visitors.

There’s dancing, too: first the Sword Dance and later on the intricate steps of Seinn Triubhas.
