Description
Nafplio or Anapli is a seaport town in the Peloponnese in Greece that has expanded up the hillsides near the north end of the Argolic Gulf, the capital of the regional unit of Argolis, seat of the municipality of Nafplio and the main port of the eastern Peloponnese. It also served as the first capital of Greece.

The film begins with a general view of the Palamidi fortress which is one of the most important achievements of Venetian fortification architecture. The shot shines with the filmmaker's white Renault Dauphine.

Afterwards, the camera shows the Bourtzi, another fortress of the city, also of Venetian style, which is located on a small island, in the middle of the harbour of Nafplio.
Footage of the neoclassical buildings in the town’s harbour.

Ascent to Palamidi, views from its walls, bastions, arches-paths-entrances and the different levels with the multiple steps in the winding stair from the town to the fortress.

An impressive view over the Argolic Gulf and a general view of the city of Nafplio.
