Description
Knossos, in Crete, was an important city of antiquity and the centre of the Minoan civilization and culture. It is just 5 km away from Heraklion.

A first impression of the archeological site is the central courtyard around which the palace was constructed. We take a tour of the surviving remains of the Palace and an entrance to the Throne Room where the cinematographer pretends to be the king, sitting on a wooden throne.

Afterwards, we continue the tour between the Minoan columns, views at a lower level of the ground floor, the magnificent dolphin fresco mural which decorated the walls of the Queen's Megaron, wonderful fresco panel murals everywhere, columns and pillars hold the multi-storey building. A marble inscription "Queen's Megaron”.
