Description
We are in Piraeus, the main port of Greece and on the ferryboat "Phaistos" bound to Souda, the largest natural port in Crete.

The film opens with a panoramic view of the port with the ships as well as the city’s building structure that is visible in the background with a large sign that is on a building’s roof top reading “GREEK LINE”. The panoramic shot continues with a young man and a woman sitting in one of the ship’s deck benches. Afterwards, the woman sits on the bench with another man with whom she seems to be talking pleasantly.

The view changes with the pier where the ship is moored and a crane that lifts a car on the ship. The woman looks upon the view and the lens shows the whole deck with the lifeboats standing out. We see shots of a naval officer, the bow and we get back to the car crane that continues to load cars, holding a Volkswagen beetle.

The Volkswagen tries to park on the ship’s parking deck that is almost full and the filmmaker focuses on the cars of that era that are parked. One more panoramic shot with the boats in the port as well as two men on the ship’s bridge.

The film closes with the traffic in the port, a ship that comes in and a seagull that is flying in the sky.
